Denni

This bio might be a little longer than a lot of other bios. That's because I want to hammer it home just how VERY special, extremely rare a dog like Denni is. At the time of writing this I have been a professional dog trainer for 23 years. I have raised 90 dogs for the Moonstruck program and I have kept for myself 19 until their passing. for nearly 20 years I owned/ran training classes and private lessons in 3 different cities on Vancouver Island traveling all over. For a decade I owned/ran a commercial doggy daycare that saw 40+ dogs a day. I know dogs. I know dogs VERY well. I have trained thousands and have competed/coached to competition dozens - all different breeds. Now, giving you my background in dogs hopefully makes what I am about to say about Denni that much more poignant: Denni is the PERFECT dog. Not because I had anything to do with it at all. Denni was acquired from a breeder in the USA at just about 4 years of age. He had basic training at best. But the operating software he came with is purely genetic. This dog is a needle in a haystack kind of dog. He is incredibly kind, intuitive and empathetic. He is jovial, confident, has a great sense of humour. He is non-predatory (he had never seen a chicken before, nor a cat, and he walked onto a farm with circa 100 chickens, ducks, turkeys and 12 barn cats and he has never even acted like they were there. He gets along with other intact males even when they are clearly instigating an argument, Denni is not submissive he just won't engage. That in and of itself is outstanding. I was told by the breeder that he came from that he was a very nice dog, but nice is not even the adjective to use on him: blow-it-straight-out-of-the-stratosphere is what I would call him. Denni is maybe the best dog I have ever met and if not he is definitely in the top 3 (our S'more is one of those dogs I didn't think could be beat for temperament... well, he's been beat by Denni which is a summit I never believed could be climbed). A lot of people have an aversion to Australian Shepherds of which Denni is 50%. But there are Aussies out there that are solid gold with nothing but positive personality traits. People think they are "high strung". Yes, they can be, but not all of them are and Denni is a very normal energy dog. My 10 year old Bernese, Muffin, is still "more" dog than Denni is at 4! So, do not let his breed mix deter you from his off-spring. We breed for temperament in this program and are very particular. Denni is about to take our already wicked great temperaments and add some fairy dust magic into them. I will never get over what an outstanding, amazing, wonderful, perfect dog Denni is and I will be forever grateful to have found such a rare, devine even, tempered dog.
