Adopting a Puppy

Adopting a quality Moonstruck Bernedoodle represents a significant investment not only financially but in your time when you bring your new family member home.  This is why we provide extensive training manuals and video to help you make the most of your Moonstruck Bernedoodle.

Moonstruck requires a $500+tax litter reservation fee (deducted from the final price of the puppy). As of policy changes in August 2023, because we no longer take reservations on a Master Adoption List, this fee is only refundable IF the litter does not catch, if the stud changes at the last moment, or if there are not enough puppies born in the litter to accommodate your name on the list. If you see a litter that has space on it on the Available Puppies Page, you are welcome to claim that space.  Puppies are selected in order of name on the list at 7 weeks of age. This page changes as sometimes we add litters if we feel the timing is right. 
Once the puppies from your chosen litter are born, we will contact you and keep you regularly updated.  We do not guarantee the colour/pattern of the puppies born but we do our very best to make our families happy.  We have an extensive knowledge of colour genetics and we can accurately predict what is possible or probable in each litter in terms of colour or pattern.  Colour is not a complete mystery to us as it is for some breeders, however, the way colours or patterns express is out of our control.  Temperament and health come first in our breeding program but we are aware that people also want what they want!!  We work very closely with our families so they are happy with their puppy choice.
We raise our litters using Puppy Culture and Avidog protocols  (we take what we feel works best for us from both of these programs as well as our knowledge as professional dog trainers).  Because we are so incredibly hands on with out puppies we are able to accurately assess the different types of personalities and temperament traits that each of our puppies possesses.  We assist out puppy buyers in the choice of their puppy and place a huge emphasis on matching out puppies based on their temperament and suitability to each family, NOT BY COLOUR ALONE!  Puppy selections are done at 7 weeks of age. Once selected an invoice will be sent out and the remainder of the purchase price is due by the puppy's 56th day (8 weeks of age). Our Puppy Package is provided, electronically once selections are made. 

At 7 weeks of age our puppies see a licensed veterinarian.  They are microchipped, health checked and vaccinated for Distemper/Adenovirus/Parvovirus (DAP).  Puppies are on a very regular worming schedule for the first 8 weeks.

We do ship puppies at an additional expense. Don't worry. It's not hard on them at all. Our puppies are well adjusted and can handle the trip with no problems. We have been shipping animals around the world for 2 decades.
