Phantom is a Poodle colour term to describe tan points. Tan points can range from very beige to mahogany. Tan points are always presented with the same pattern in all breeds: "eye brows", cheeks, legs and under the tail. However, there are additional genes that can "modify" the tan points: masks and brindle. The addition of one, or both, of these modifier genes is what accounts for the range in phenotype for phantom Bernedoodles/Aussie Mountain Doodles.
